Pure gold. Creamy head that held on and left a web of lacing. Citrus nose consists of pineapple, orange, and lemon grass. Juicy hops are just exploding with citrus. Pineapple stands out, but lemon and a hint of orange are there too. Malts are in the background but never come to the forefront. Bitterness lingers through the finish like drinking simple green. Feel is oily and slick.
This beer pushes the style in a way that we are not accustomed to. Typically a brewer with push a style forward, but this one takes a step back, but not in a negative way. The lack of big malt in this beer pulls it back from a DIPA in a very good way. It is a great and unique representation of the style, with a straight up juicy hop forward, bitter ale. I urge Lagunitas to make this a year round offering.

poured from a bottle into a pint glass. the aromas jump at your instantly, this one is something special. this is the second time i have had sucks, but the first time i am actually sitting down and inspecting it for a review. just a heads up, this is beer is dangerously good
A- pours a straight up shimmering gold, its like the finest of apple juices in all the land. vibrant beautiful and full of life. nice little half finger head of tight tight tight little bubbles. lacing is spotty and hangs on to the glass still all very tight little bubbles
S- Huge aromas here, im getting grapefruit and blood orange rind as well as straight up juices from both. there is a light booziness in the end of the nose as well as some grainy malty hints and some slight ryes. very sweet and light smelling
T- Monster! Honey and granny smith apples along with the strong grapefruit juic and rind. some orange/blood orange as well as a little bit of lemon and lime. each sip is extremely complex and dynamic, inviting more and more. we finish up with a strong citra hops pinch on the back of the tongue. Each taste has a slightly different profile but all under the same groupings. very drinkable
M- mouthfeel is medium- with a perfect amount of carbonation. the tartness is just right. very mouth watering and very enjoyable.
O- Overall this beer swings and swings hard. Its a Perfect example of taking a DIPA in injecting it full of life and zest. Sucks does everything but that. this is a top notch beer and the drinkablity combined with the 7.85% ABV is fantastic little treat.
