Bottle poured into a Stella Chalice. Julian dated 260, or bottled 9/17/12.
A: Crystal clear straw, golden color. Two fingers of sudsy white head retain moderately, nice lacing. At first glance, it resembles a typical pale lager.
S: Big time citrus, earthy pine, lemon peel and floral aromas. Very little in the way of malt, some light sweetness. Very nice aroma.
T: Clean lemon grass, light pine, citrus hops. Clean, toasty pale malt sweetness on the finish. Its bitter, but nowhere near a hop-bomb. Finishes clean and dry.
M: Light bodied, prickly carbonation. Drinks extremely easily, refreshing as all hell, could kill a sixer with no problem at all. Where was this during the summertime?
O: The perfect candidate for a refreshing, flavorful sessioner. Low abv, high drinkability, and all without sacrificing any flavor. Nicely done Lagunitas. Now make this a summer seasonal next year please. Or hell, make it year round and put it in 12 packs!
