Been wanting to try this, wish I'd had the chance to pick up a bottle earlier. Tasted 7 November 2012, reviewed from notes.
Pours a very clear pale golden yellow. One finger of head, okay retention, loads of lacing that defies gravity. Thin stream of CO2 bubbling up.
Smell is fantastic, particularly for a session IPA. Tons of citrus hops, oranges and grapefruit, backed up by a handful of pine (I'd say a touch, but there's way more hops in here than that). Beyond that, it's crisp and clean, without much interfering with the hop show.
Taste is impressive as well. Really clean, only mildly bitter, and the hops come through more spicy than anything else. Finish is quick and clean.
Light body, with prickly carbonation. Very dry finish, almost evaporating off the tongue. Very nice.
A wonderfully sessionable, very tasty IPA. I wish breweries made more beers like this. I'm sure it's pricy to make, what with heavy dry hopping, but wow, the result is awesome, at an ABV where I could drink a few of them.

I think it's a stretch to call this an IPA, even a session one. From the nose and the taste, it's really (IMO) a hybrid of an American pale ale and a German pilsner. Nice light golden color, slightly hazy, with vibrant head. Lots of carbonation. Hop aroma runs the gamut from citrus to tropical to grassy. Definitely not complaints there. Mouthfeel is thin, which is exactly what you want in this type of beer. Taste is heavy on what tastes like pilsner malt, with light grassy/floral hoppiness.
All in all, a solid offering thats super refreshing and perfect for the summer. Certainly worth picking up a six pack, just not quite what I was expecting.
