One of my favorite session beers. Very clean and crisp with a nice hop presence. Light straw color, citrus on the nose, perfect carbonation. Amazing flavors produced from this the low ABV beer. Some of my other fav session beers are Gumballhead and Anti-Hero just to give you a better idea of what I like.
Cheers

This is the grail of sessionables. I've had Terrapin, Founders, and a host of others, none of which compare.

Pours a beautiful straw color with scents of citrus, resin, and a touch of sweet malt.

Taste is spot on. Beautiful hop presence with rich citrus and resinous tastes. Just a touch of malt for balance. Refreshing, crisp, and hoppy.

Mouthfeel is perfect. Light, perfect carbonation that washes the hoppy flavors over the tongue.

Overall, I can say that this is the perfect representation of a sessionable IPA. You can have a few of these without getting full and the flavor never becomes boring.

Appearance: Pale yellow in color and crystal clear. Big head with really good retention. Spotty lacing.

Smell: Lots of citrus. Some vegetal onion type qualities. Nelson Sauvin pops on the nose with lots of that white grape character. Super dank. Huge aroma.

Flavor: Very light bodied with lots of citrus and tropical hop character. Toasted malt holds everything together. Finishes dry with a nice fruitiness.

Mouthfeel: Very light bodied. Dry. Finishes dry with a bitter fruitiness. I understand the people who aren't crazy about the light body, but it works for me. Insanely drinkable. 12 oz bottle gone before I even knew what happened.

Overall: Session IPA seems to be a polarizing style and it's rapidly becoming one of my favorites. Delivers a big fruity, citrusy hop kick in a great sessionable body. Vying with Founder's All Day for the illustrious title of my favorite session IPA.

Poured from the bottle into a Dogfish Head IPA glass.

Real light bodied IPA. Lemon bright yellow, slightly hazy and dull, with some nice slow rising carbonation from the middle. Head is thick bleach white in color, four fingers deep and soapy retention. Very impressive looking brew.

Nice soft tropical hop notes on the front for the bouquet. Nice and juicy and flavorful smelling, hints of peach, pineapple. Maybe even a little bit of dank earth as well to mix it up a bit.

Noticeably light mouthfeel, and quite wet but somewhat expected for such a low abv. However, the flavors still piece together. Light malts, almost hinting at bready sensing pilsner but not quite. Hop angle comes with a juicy quality if obviously wet unfortunately. Light hop crispness coming with hints of tropical flavors a bit, and matching the nose.

Overall it's hard to think about what to rate for these sessionable IPAs. They are easy drinking and lighter but still have that incredibly watery body. Still they make for great drinkability, but there's something obviously missing that loses a bit of the appeal to me. Otherwise it's very well crafted.
