Reviewed from notes. Consumed 4/5/09
Poured from a standard 12 oz bottle into an over sized wine glass. Firm pour is rewarded with a solid 1/4 inch of head that dissipates very quickly. Leaves a fine ring of lace around the insides of the glass. Color is a clear slightly copper tinged amber.
Nose- Hops present themselves immediately. Notes of dried apricot, ripe oranges and peach. Floral, there is no doubt that this is an IPA.
Pallate- Dried apricot and manderin orange. Light sweetness to it. Fairly well balanced as the caramel body is not totally overwhelmed. Some pine notes, followed by a nice bitter bite. Finishes dry, the moderate bitterness stays with you however is not overwhelming. No presence of alcohol.
Mouthfeel- Zippy, and dry.
Drinkability- Very good, almost dangerously so.
