Not sure how fresh it is. No date on the bottle, but here goes!
It's a pretty good-looking IPA. A finger of fluffy white head tops off a classic golden body. The head sticks around pretty well, and leaves plenty of lacing.
It smells of pine and citrus. Bitterness and a bit of sweet, biscuity breadiness. A good, albeit standard West Coast IPA smell.
The taste is not too robust, in my opinion. Very smooth grapefruit citrusy body, but it doesn't follow through on the finish. The mouthfeel is similarly good at first, but just doesn't satisfy as it goes down. While this makes for a very drinkable brew, I think a little more crispness could do this IPA some good. Maybe it's not as fresh as it could be? We may never know.
Lagunitas has a good, solid flavor, and has all the signs of a good IPA. I would definitely keep some in my fridge now and then as a go-to beer - if it were cheaper and more readily available around Pittsburgh.

This is a very classic IPA. It had a fairly large head when brought to my table. It has crisp citrus flavors, with a little bit of a hop aftertaste. I'm not sure of all the flavors, but they combine to create this delicious IPA that goes great with any type of food

Poured from a brown bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma was piney hops. Not strong, but pleasant.
An inch think, off white head was atop a gold, maybe light copper body. Very clear. Big bubbles in the head and a few bubbles visible rising from the bottom of the glass. As I drank the beer some lacing was visible on the glass.
Taste was assertive piney hops. Not overpowering but definitely a strong hop flavor. I tried to find a malt character but just kept coming back to the hops. That said, though, it's not just pure hop juice. This is a very enjoyable IPA. Easy to drink and enjoy.
I've had the pleasure of visiting the Lagunitas brewery and tap room in Petaluma, CA on several occasions and I do enjoy their beers anywhere I can get them. If you're looking for a quality IPA this will not disappoint.
