12 oz. bottle poured straight down into a pineapple-decorated 12 oz. glass from my daughter's kitchen cupboard..
a. Clear bright golden orange, tall head dissipates shortly, leaving a variegated floating film of bubbles and patches of lacing clinging to the sides.
s: Dense sharp citrus. Let's you know it's there from the gitgo.
t: Fruity, grapefruit not as noticeable as the first time I tried one and therefore more pleasing to me. Not sure what the reason for the apparent taste difference is since both came from the same sixpack.
m: Light with lingering grapefruit bitterness. Makes me think this would not be a bad breakfast drink if so inclined, although coffee stouts like Founders might offer more along those lines.
o. Excellent IPA with just enough hop bite. Heavy citrus odors and aftertaste but not the potentially excessive bitterness grapefruit can inflict. First bottle I had I did not like as well. But this one rocks, *sip-n-gulp* or should I say rocked.

Nice clear straw/amber pour, pillowy white head. Good retention and lacing.
Popped the cap and was greeted by a floral bouquet, come back and it's almost creamy, with a mild bread backbone. maybe a hint of caramel as well.
Good balance between that creamy rich malt backbone and some floral, grapefruit comes through later. Almost like a pin pitch element to it on the end.
Lagunitas is a world class brewery. This is a very good, basic IPA. Classics become so for a reason
