Moved from Santa Ana to Mission Viejo and wanted to check out my local liquor store. In Santa Ana, liquor stores only carry liquor, porn, and mass-American lagers. I was pleasantly surprised to find my local store has real beer.

Lots of Stone. Basic Belgians like Chimay and Delirium. Good IPA selection (Stone, Green Flash West Coast AND Imperial, Bear Republic, Anderson Valley, Flying Dog, Shipyard Pugsley and more) Also saw several of my other favs. North Coast, Allagash, Dogfish, Lost Coast.

I will be back!

Matt's having a party in Rancho Santa Margarita, and I need to pick up a 12-pack of Budweiser for it. And if they have something nice, I'll pick that up for myself. It turns out they do....

Despite what Google Maps shows, Fast Check Liquor is on the "east" corner of Trabuco and Los Alisos, in the same shopping center which holds a Taco Mesa. The place says "LIQUOR" on the outside, like any other liquor store.

90% of the beer in refrigerated, which is nice for those heading directly to a party (like myself). Craft beer is scattered around in three different sections. Lots of Stone bombers in one section, as well more "mainstream craft" (SA, SN, NB). Around the corner, one can find Dogfish Head, Flying Dog, Lagunitas, Mexicali, Anchor, Fullers, and harder to find lagers like Singha. And off in the distance are Allagash, Samuel Smith, Chimay, Erdinger, Green Flash, and Ommegang. The part that isn't refigerated holds markdown single bottle of Leffe, Corona Light, and Oaked Arrogant Bastard. Wait, that's four places....

I would like to see more pricetags on the beer. Some beers are labled with a price, some are not, which makes gaging how much you're going to spend difficult until you checkout. Speaking of checkout, it was quick.

I grabbed my friend's 12 pack of Budwieser, and for myself, bottles of Green Flash IPA, Ommegang Abbey Ale, and Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale. No problems with quality, they were in good shape. Nice little store to grab some quality brews.
