Our new Imperial IPA and slightly tougher cousin to last fall's Unsessionable IPA.

Can: Filled 3-15-17...
L-Burnt orange color...relatively clear with just a hint of haziness.
S-Sticky sweet aroma of tropical fruits, hard candy, caramel, and peaches.
T-Not as much flavor as expected.....caramel is evident.....light fruitiness with peaches and apricots.....I like the taste....just not as immense flavored as expected...
F-Full bodied...leans to the sticky sweet side...not terribly boozy or hot despite the ABV.
O-Nice DIPA...has some age on it so maybe not as vibrant as it was fresher.....still a solid yet far from elite offering.

From the can that was filled 03/15/2017. Sampled on July 1, 2017.
The pour is an attractive looking copper-amber color with a tremendous cream colored head that slowly fades down.
The aroma makes me think of a Barleywine rather than a Double IPA. The barley and caramel malts greet the nose first followed swiftly by a fruity, herbal, and alcohol sensation.
Medium to full body and smooth.
Bold malt sweetness is overtaken by booze and fruit. Bitter finish.
