An American hop assault for all the ambivalent warriors who get the girl in the end. “Look, I ain't in this for your revolution, and I'm not in it for you, Princess.” This iconic ale features a blend of four hop varieties which creates a crisp bitterness and imparts massive floral and citrus aromas.

Appearance- Honey- orange amber, pretty fizzy head. Nice color, nice sweaty glass.

Nose- Typical IPA basenotes of citrus hops, some syrupy sweetness lingers. Also exhibits some grain notes.

Taste- Bitter orange dominated by oily hops. Pretty heavy bitterness but with a nice aftertaste that isn't too dry and some barley sugar sweetness from malt.

Mouthfeel- Medium body for an IPA with a slick resin-like consistency. Cleanly dances across the palate. Pretty light carbonation without feeling too thin.

Overall- Very pleasant brew to put back, makes me want to try some more Revolution beers. Always a treat to have a fine crafted ale out of a can.

My wife brough a six pack of Anti-hero back to Maine from me when she was in Chicago recently. It has been in the fridge since it came out of her luggage. I let it warm slightly before pouring vigorously into a pint glass.

The beer is clear and has a copper/orange color. Lots of rising and clinging carbonation. A good sized head rests above the top of my glass. As it settles, decent lacing is left behind.

The beer has a citrusy, resiny hop aroma. It leads me to believe that this will be a bitter beer.

This is a good west coast style IPA. Big hop flavors. There is a touch of caramel sweetness. Citrus and floral bitterness linger.

The beer has some noticeable hop oils, but the coating left behind is not too thick. The beer has a medium body and good level of carbonation.

This is a desirable IPA. If you want well-drinking hop bomb out of middle America, seek this one out.

Love Revolution. Love this beer. Let's go.

A - from a can into my new Sierra Nevada "IPA glass." So pretty excited about that. Bronzish orange, huge head that settles quickly to a faint rocky top layer, slightly off-white. Lacing is gratuitous. Really nice-looking.

S - you can smell this beer from 3 feet away. It's amazing. Citrus hops, pine, maybe a bit of malt and breadiness, but the grapefruit and orange really dominate. No booziness.

T - follows suit. Chewy citrus, sweet and refreshing. Gives way to a little bitterness in the middle that evens out and hangs around for a bit. Everything you'd expect with an IPA. The one fault that I can find is that towards the end, it's a little flat. The nice tastes up front don't carry through to the end.

M - sweet and refreshing, not too heavy. Like I said above, a little flat, but it's by no means a deal-breaker.

O - just a great IPA. The look and smell of this beer are top-notch, and it's a little too easy to drink. You could get yourself into trouble with this one. By all means, worth a 6 pack or 2 if you see some while out and about Chicago.

What a great beer. I honestly think it is the best beer in the midwest for the price. I get a can of it for a $1.25! I mean come on. Huge hop notes, good alcohol which is not over the top like some of these beers coming out. The citrus is amazing on the nose. It is just a great refreshing beer that I think any IPA drinker would love. Again, being an IPA it needs to be fresh.
