I've had this a few times on tap at the brewpub. Reviewing at the time of drinking a can at home, but with both can and draft very fresh in mind. Poured into a FFF Teku.

A: Dark golden in color with 1 finger of white frothy head that reduces fairly quickly and leaves little lacing.
S: Citrusy up front, with a combo of citrus and pine as the lingering aroma.
T: I get a lot of citrus fruits up front, and a very mild pine aftertaste. There isn't a huge bomb here, but a very enjoyable palate.
M: Carbed well to style, leaves a slightly dry finish.
O: I always enjoy an Anti Hero when I have the chance. This is a very solid IPA that should not be overlooked. If I had to compare this to any beer, I would say it is more similar to Jai Alai than any other beer I've had.

Amber orange color with a thin head with medium retention.
Aroma of pine, grapefruit, tea leaves and lemon.
Nice citrusy flavor with notes of pineapple, slightly toasted malts, honey, grapefruits and some herbal hops. Dry and bitter aftertaste, though less intense than average for the style.
Light body with low carbonation.
An elegant American IPA, very well balanced despite its 70 IBUs. Clear and smooth taste, you could even session on her.

An extra in a trade with BigStein88. Thanks George!

Canned 12/11/13. A little over two months old.

Must be a popular brewery name in one of the three urban centers of American Communism, Chicago. The Anti-Hero name, art of a military-uniformed, hop-faced general with red stars all over him, and the typical Communist raised fist (albeit in hop green) all seem to add to the political statement. ..which this reviewer found highly off-putting. But freedom of expression is still part of our Constitutional system, so I'll try not to let all that affect my review.

Poured from the 12 oz. can into a Harpoon IPA glass.

a: Clear dark gold with a finger thick white head which receded to thin even surface foam and patchy lacing.

s: Mild pine.

t: Pine hops forward over a medium malt base. Dry finish.

m: Medium, good body.

o: An above average, tasty middle strength IPA. If it was available in my area and not too expensive I might be tempted to buy more. But I'll exercise MY right to freedom to buy and pass.
