22oz bomber poured into a snifter. First time for Revolution to distribute bottles at my local shop so I picked this up.

A- Pours a hazy yellow color. Not much head to speak of. Very cloudy, with lots of sediment floating around.

S- Aroma is overall sweet and tangy, smells like a fruity wheat ale to me.

T- Starts off very citrusy, leads to an overall sweet and fruity taste. A general spiciness lingers in each sip.

M- Light, nice carbonation a very easy drinking beer good for a nice summer day. Good balance of hop and spice.

My first try of anything Revolution. Overall not a bad beer. I definitely want to check out their brewpub.

On-tap at revolution; Comes in a tulip glass

A - Golden with a slight brown hint to it. Bit thick and hazy looking. Looks to have medium body

S - Fragrant lemon, lemongrass, Belgian yeast. Really a great smelling Saison

T - Lemon peel, slight Belgian esters, and bubble gum are the first flavors we get. As the beer goes on the lemon increases, and there is a slight grassy flavor that comes through. Very crisp and refreshing Saison. You definitely can't tell this is 8.1% as there is no alcohol available.

MF - Medium body to it. Lots of carbonation in it that goes great with the flavor profile. Very crisp and refreshing

O - Great Saison by revolution. This brings the fresh flavors of lemon while having a slight funk. Could imagine drinking this over and over again on a nice summer day

A: Gorgeous vibrant orange. Completely opaque with hazy - the edges are bright yellow and the center is radiant orange. A glowing beer. The is a fizzy and foamy bright white, but denser than a traditional saison.

S: Very refreshing, subtle and pleasant. A very fresh aroma with little must or funk. Orange peel, lemon zest, and very subtle coriander - very not-funky belgian yeast - bready.

T: Similar to the aroma - not very complex, but very refreshing and surprisingly full. Orange, lemon, bread/biscuit, and yeast.

P: Very creamy and full bodied for the style, and softer carbonation - and it works

O: An interesting example of the style - not breaking any boundaries or records, but a very solid

Smells nice and spicy with that Spalt hop herbalness to it. Crisp, with floral notes as well. From what I could see (dark bar) it had a nice orange hue to it, cloudy. One thing I like about this beer is the balance of not just hops to malt but also yeast. It was a little sticky and syrupy but that's to be expected with a 7.5'er. I don't think I could drink more that one of these in a setting but, that's not always a bad thing.
I usually don't dig saisons but this one I liked.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Decent and serviceable though not exceptional saison. This batch weighed in at 8.1%. It hits the style, apple flavour commingles with orange and grapefruit. Lacey, farmhouse aroma as compared to a peppery spicy saison aroma. Not too drinkable.

Appearance: Good yellow-orange hue with great head and good lacing. Decent carbonation as well.

Smell: Standard hops and citrus. Lots of grapes as well. Very clean.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Good flavors. This was a while ago, but I definitely remember that it hits on all the hop/citrus notes. It almost remembers me of an IPA, but his has very earthy clay notes as well.

Overall Drinkability: A very good beer with a great name.

On tap at Revolution brewpub.

A - Golden color with a lively foam. Some lacing is noted.

S - Scents of fresh lemon and grain.

T - Flavor is tangy and slightly sour. borders on the profile of a wild ale. Finishes with a wheat flavor.

M - Light feel, crisp, and finishes with mild tartness.

O - Overall solid saison and probably my favorite offering at Revolution.

Served on tap at the brew pub in a tulip glass.

This beer is a cloudy, glowing apricot with a thin layer of white head.

The nose is very close to a hefe. I'm picking out chalky citrus, pine, spicy esters, candied fruits, and a tiny bit of alcohol.

The taste follows the nose. Chalky fruits with hits of pine, esters, and more citrus. This isn't striking me as a saison, but it is tasty. It's refreshing and finishes dry and a little bitter.

The mouthfeel is creamy and close to full with a moderate to low level of carbonation.

A tasty brew for sure, but I think it borders a weird hefe/saison vortex. Worth trying and really easy to put down.
