A gentle pour into a tulip snifter leads to a thick 1 inch light wheat-colored head. This one has a very appealing deep amber color which I like quite a bit. The aroma was good, not great. Mostly pine and grass notes, not overpowering like some IIPA's. this beer has creamy-medium mouthfeel with just the right amount of piney hops, I didn't detect much citrus if any at all. The bottle says 8% ABV, but the alcohol didn't come through one bit, instead it was masked nicely by soft Carmel malt notes. Overall I felt this beer was very well balanced, smooth, drinkable, and quite solid. I'll have it again.
