22 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. A new big bomber to me from Revolution Brewing Co., out of Chicago, this one their collaboration effort with Firestone Walker. Expectations are good based on the breweries and the beer's high ratings.

Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.

A - It pours a beautiful bright golden orange, with about a finger of frothy white head. Leaves behind good sheets of spotty lacing on the glass. It looks very nice. 4

S - Very aromatic and inviting. Caramel, toffee, oranges, marmalade, lemons, grass. & a light herbal spice rack note. 4

T - The taste follows the nose - juicy, fruity, and hoppy, with a solid malt backing. Plenty of toffee & caramel, biscuit malts, and lots of orange, lemon, and grassy / herbal qualities. Very delicious. 4

M - The feel is crisp, sticky, and malty. A bit of a malty sweetness on the finish. Delicious, and very easy drinking. 4.5

Overall, an excellent IPA from Revolution & Firestone Walker. I would definitely pick this one up again if it was more readily available, and even more likely if it was available in six packs. Very drinkable stuff. Very recommended.

Lightly hazy, golden blonde with on finger of white head, light lace. Smell is full of juicy citrus hops, orange, grapefruit and mango, dry and hoppy with just a bit of biscuity malt. Taste is bitter and hoppy, grapefruit and citrus, earthy with a mid palate malt flavour, orange aftertaste. Light-medium carbonation, medium body. Pretty good but not stellar, had higher expectations based on these two brewers involved.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy deep gold color with 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel, caramel, light toasted bread, floral, grass, slight pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/floral hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, orange peel, caramel, light toasted bread, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Fair amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, caramel, light toasted bread, floral, grass, and floral/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of juicy citrus/floral hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, lightly creamy/bready, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around good complexity and balance of juicy citrus/floral hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and fairly crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
