Utilizing Pale Ale malt as the base along with Caramel Malt from Chile, English Roasted Barley, and Dark Chocolate malt, the resulting medium-bodied beer is rich and complex with notes of dark roasted coffee and baker’s chocolate.
We used Warrior hops for bittering to contribute a clean crisp bitterness and a blend of Centennial and Cascade for a blast of fresh flowery hop aroma in the whirlpool. After fermentation we hit this brew with a fresh dose of Centennial and Chinook dry hops to infuse this dark ale with fresh aromas of citrus zest and pine. In our series of stouts, this one has the highest level of both hop bitterness and aroma. Hopefully you get a chance to try one on cask, it is magical!

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and dark chocolate notes with light hoppy notes also noticeable. Taste is a mix of rich roasted malt notes with some black chocolate notes with hints of residual sugar notes and light dry hoppy notes. Body is full with oily texture and good carbonation. Enjoyable but I think it would benefits from a barrel-aged treatment.

A pleasant and nicely subdued stout. There's a touch of some sort of berry that lingers in the carbonation, which doesn't take center stage and stands right where it should.

Aroma is roasted malts and a complex mix of fruit, bubblegum and funky. The flavor is roasted malts, fruit, mild sweetness, hops and a very funky finish.
