Clearly, this is the best Revolution brew I have tried and clearly, it is A Little Crazy. I think the style listed should be revised to American Belgian Pale. This is more like Raging Bitch or the Lagunitas ales than a true Belgian. And that's a good thing.

It pours darker than a BPA and clearer, with little head or lace. The aroma is mild for an American style but just right for authentic style. The taste is over the top yeasty and hoppy, as mentioned before, American. The aftertaste as well. Compared to those other over the top Americans, this one is pretty well balanced, but it is very tasty. The aftertaste is tart and yeasty and bitter. Pretty darn good.

22oz bomber, pours dark orange, smell is slightly hoppy not overwhelming. Taste is complex, layered, fantastic. Great beer. I'm really starting to like this new niche, Belgium Style Pale ales. It's the best of american and UK methods to make such a diverse style.

22 oz bottle dated 2013 served in a Belgian snifter.

A: deep orange-amber color with high clarity and a thin fragile head. Decent lacing.

Aroma & Flavor: With hops that make this citrusy and slightly grassy, and some Belgian yeast adding touchs of nuttiness and funk, this has very good complexity in both aroma and flavor. Also has notes of apricots and tropical fruits. Mildly bitter and subtly sour. I enjoyed the aroma a bit more than the flavor, largely owing to the relatively disappointing aftertaste.

Feel: Medium-light body with medium+ carbonation.

O: a well-done and and refreshing Belgian-style pale ale. Very drinkable and rather aromatic for style.

(Served in a nonic)

A- This beer has a hint of haze to the orange body with a good carbonation that supports a thick ring which sticks to the glass with each sip.

S- The yeasty esters of apricots blends with pine resin in the finish. This is a nice full fragrance of yeast and hops.

T- With notes of white cheese rind and a plastic peppery note is overtaken by a mellow pine sap flavor. There is some pineapple weed hops with a nice bitterness in the finish. As the beer opens up there is a pale malt taste that starts to come through.

M- The medium mouthfeel has no alcohol heat and a good fizz bite that supports the hops.

O- This is a nice big pale ale with a good balance of fruity yeast character and hops. It is very drinkable but the carbonation is a bit to big as it opens up.

A rocky eggshell white head rests at a full finger's height atop a somewhat hazy dark gold brew. Lacing is spotty with some legs breaking off here and there, but all in all plentiful on the glass's walls.
Hops come out up front but the Belgian character makes itself known almost immediately. In the nose, it's mostly herbal with plenty of citrus (orange peel) and a bite of resinous pine on the end. The yeast serves nicely to soften it as well as adding depth along with the malt's dry and biscuit undertones. On the end, especially, are notes of pepper and clove. In the flavor, the hops back off a bit and lose a little bit of the citrus element in place of stronger spicy notes, but it doesn't change drastically.
Active carbonation supports both the flowing smoothness and the crispness of this lighter style of which this beer verges into stronger territory by achieving a medium body. It's about semi-dry most of the way into an easy finish.

A: Golden orange, slightly hazy almost clear, with a fizzy and foamy white head.

S: Smells great. Fantastic combination of Belgian yeast - kind of funky, slightly musty, lemon and some coriander - and hops - sweet grapefruit, mango, tangerine. Almost creates a 'bubble-gum'

T: Refreshing and crisp bitterness hit first with lemon and tarter-than-sweet grapefruit. Then a wash of Belgian spice, a tad bit of hay, and sweet tropical fruits. Finishes pretty dry

P: Light-medium body, noticeable but not obnoxious carbonation. Very refreshing and smooth.

O: Fantastic beer. So glad it's in cans. Need to stock up.
