On-tap at the brewpub. Served in a 12 oz snifter.
A- pours black with a 1 finger dark tan head. Smal trails of lacing.
S- huge bourbon and vanilla notes. Nice chocolate milk, roast, and slight coffee.
T- alcohol, bourbon, chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, with some roast bitterness.
M- medium body and carbonation. Little fizzy at first but mellows.
O- very good ba porter. More barrel forward but enough going on that works well together.

Dark cola brown, letting considerable light pass at the edges. A half inch of tan head after the pour that dissipates without leaving a trace.
Nice bourbon aroma. Woodford is known for it's high rye content in the mash bill and those earthy and spicy aromas poke through. Lots of soy and anise, chocolate to a lesser extent.
The barrels don't pop as much in the taste. Woody, soy, blackstrap molasses.
Mouthfeel is thin and low carbonation is low.
A decent beer, but doesn't hold up against other barrel agers. Mouthfeel was weak. For the price tag, pass.
