A crisp and refreshing IPA exploding with fresh hop character, named for a somewhat forgotten yet amazing hop variety named Crystal.

L: Dark gold with 2 inches of thick, creamy, rocky, white head. Good lacing.
S: Sharp citrus with a hint of pine.
T: Very different than smell, a not too bitter pine with a touch of citrus.
F: For an IPA its not too dry or bitter.
O: A great tasting single hop IPA.

Deep gold, nice foamy head. One of those no-nonsense, punch to the sinuses hopbombs. Interested to know the IBUs on this beer, most likely substantial. No subtleties here, straight-from-the-hip Crystal hops, comin' at ya!

Love the appearance: dark gold with billowing white bubbles. Smell is full of hops, no complexity given the single hop nature, but potent and really lets you get the nuance of the crsytal hop used. Bitter, nutty and tropical. The taste has the hops up front with biscuit malt, bringing out lemon, pineapple, mango, light chestnuts, and grass. The lingering aftertaste gets a little much as you go, with intense brett-like wheatiness with the hops. Would go great with a hefty lunch

Had this on 2018-02-11in Bolingbrook, IL from a 12oz canned on 2017-07-12 from a too old 12 pack at Tony's Market. Dates not listed on the outside of the packaging. Pretty lame to sell a mixed IPA 12 pack this old.
A - Clear golden-orange with a 2-finger off white head and good lace.
S - Orange, floral, honey piney-herbal spice. Pleasant.
T - Orange, sourdough biscuit, pine, pepper, metalic-herbal spice. Moderately bitter orange zest.
M - Medium body and carbonation.
O - It held up pretty well. No detectable oxidation. Decent but I liked the Other three varieties in this 12-pack more.

Appearance: orange in color with a fluffy 1" head that lingers around.
Smell: grapefruit, wood, and pine are very easy pull from the glass.
Taste: caramel, grapefruit, lemon zest, pine, and an earthy and spicy bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp at the start, less crisp and a bit dry at the finish.
Overall: a very enjoyable IPA.
