Went here for lunch with a group of four on the holiday weekday following the 4th of July. At 1 the place was popular, but not packed, and we had our choice of tables. When we left that choice was diminished.

The service was prompt and knowledgeable, which was great because the beers were slightly out of the average range (no problem for a BA, but could be for a every day person). The one drawback to the service was the guy was a little full of himself/his establishment which wasn't impressive. The wife and I got a flight of all 7 beers they had on at the moment for $2 each sample (one was $3), because rather than having a set price for a flight of a set number of beers, they just have a mini-size glass so you can be flexible in your flight. It was worth it no doubt.

The beer came tasting great in clean glasses, attributed to a device I feel is worth mentioning. At the tap tower is a little jet-cone device that the bartender quick pushes the glass down onto (open side down) and it shoots a quick rinse of water into the glass, removing any left over detergent or dust that light have collected.

All the beer was good, the favorite being the Working Man Mild, the least favorite being the Coup de Grace ("It tastes and smells like meat").

The food was awesome, we had collectively two pizzas, burger and fries, all of which were impressive and a good potion size.

I'll mention they also had an impressive Whisk(e)y selection as well as gins, vodka's, tequilas and rums, and the bartender was willing to chit-chat while he wasn't busy.

Overall, this is a place I really look forward to going back to. (1,619 characters)

A great place to check out in Chicago. I loved the beer selection and the focus on local hops, and sought after hops.
The place is family friendly, and I'd recommend going with a group to try most of the beers.
The food was good, and I believe they do some local sourcing.
Definitely worth a visit(s)! (301 characters)

Place was packed at 7 on a Monday. Got the only seat at the bar. Loud environment from conversation. 16 of their own beers on tap plus a solid selection of bottles and cans. Draft prices started at $5 a pint up to $7 a snifter for the high abv brews (249 characters)

Nice place with a long bar and lots of seating. Bartenders were friendly and pretty knowledgeable about the beers. Selection was pretty eclectic and there seemed to be something for everyone. (192 characters)
