The great Jamaican Beer we know today has set the standard by which other beers are measured since 1928. Today the company is a subsidiary of one of the largest and most profitable beverage and alcohol conglomerates Heineken.

A beautiful amber lager with low butterscotch flavour, full bodied and a smooth post palate sensation. Lager beer, light gold colour.

Ingredients: Pilsen Malt, Hops, Cassava Starch, Water

Presentation: It was poured form a brown 12oz stubby "medicine bottle" into a pint glass.

Appearance: The body has a light golden yellow color with good clarity. There is some visible carbonation that floats up to the big, white, and foamy head. The head fades quickly and doesn't leave much lace behind.

Smell: Its aroma has sweet bready malts that are almost fruity along with some light grain and hay notes.

Taste/Mouth feel: The flavor is very similar to the aroma. The malt has a sweet character with some grainy notes and a mild hop presence that adds just enough bitterness for some balance. It has a clean finish and a light body with decent carbonation to tickle the palate.

Notes: Overall this is a wonderful lager that go down easy on a hot day. I like to pair this with a fresh cut lawn and a hammock in the shade.

Decent. Quite smooth. Actually, almost too smooth, sort of buttery, with sweet overtones.
Different, tho' not bad.
Suggestion: Cut it with a macro lager such as Bud, that has more carbonation, and it's just about perfect ! .)

Pretty typical beer aroma of sweet corn and malts, heavy undertones of that butterscotch described. The body's pretty much all the same, a bright, refreshing wave of sweet corn, butterscotch, and melon. It's simple and straightforward and a pretty good macro.

APPEARANCE: Clean, pale, watery golden, with a light head of white suds.

AROMA: Cereal grains/malts, really pretty average to style.

TASTE: Light and malty/ cereal grainy, not overly sweet but hops are subtle. Pretty decent lager, not too unique but more than drinkable on a warm, sunny day in the Caribbean.
