hadn't had one of these for YEARS....and back then, in jackson, MS, i thought this was the best it could get...then abita came along, i traveled more, etc...
so here goes. bottle is still shorty, but seems skinnier....not a 12 oz. bottle! and not as heavy as it used to be...(11.2 oz)'
pours a classic lager pale straw with massive head of fluff that settles moderately into a thickish layer and some splotchy lacing
smell is nothing special. could be a bud or coors or something...sweetish. not the kind i prefer.
ah, comes off less sweet, refreshing, still sweet, crying for some spice (thankfully my mouth is tingling since i just cut up and sampled some fresh-picked garden salsa and jalapenos). on it's on, it has to be ice cold to session while having kicked-back conversation that keeps your mind off really exploring the flavor profile...nothing bad. nothing great either. just a bit too sweet to be enjoyable. at least have some hot salsa and such out to keep it interesting. yes, must be ice ice cold...
p.s. best drunk straight from the bottle so it stays simple and rereshing. cool bottle still...
