Appearance: Pours a black body with brown edges and a foamy, khaki-colored head.
Smell: Aroma of odd, seemingly artificial chocolate and licorice with a hint of a well-used CoinStar machine.
Taste: A crude, unrefined taste of sweet chocolate, licorice, and dark corn syrup. Sugar is thrown haphazardly all over the palate. Hints of loose change. Finishes with a sour, twangy fruitiness. All in all, it's like an ice cream topping purchased at the dollar store.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: I can't conceive of myself ever giving this beer another go.

Syrupy sugar and caramel flavour can overpower the dark chocolate and roasted malt flavour a bit too much. Aroma is punchy and appetising. Little too sickly, half-pint bottle the right amount.

I read the reviews about this stout being different and unusual.
It’s not. It’s similar to a lot of American stouts I’ve tasted- but spicier.
Nice pour- dark chocolate with a 4F head.
Aroma is a little weak- roasted malts for the most part.
Good MF- similar to a lot of stouts- not thick or thin- mid way.
Nice roasted malt taste.
The finish is spicier than other stouts- an added kick to the aftertaste- not sharp or hoppy.
Worth checking out.

This was an impulse buy at Total Wine in the singles section and not bad for something I’ve never heard of. It is apparently a product of Jamaica and doesn’t strike me as a warm weather beer, but the dark cocoa nib and warm alcohol content of 7.5% is sitting exceptionally well on an October night in New England.

9.6 ounce bottle, straight up.
Dark (as seen through the bottle), a caramel head tried to spurt up the top.,
Aroma of dark malt, brown sugar, caramel.
Taste is of a malty beverage that belies its 7.5% ABV. Stout in name only., bit of dark chocolate, a hop note is present, bit of Coke, ends with a welcomed bitterness. Light. Bit of sticky temains on the lips. Reminds me of a spiked version of a Hispanic drink called ‘Malta’.,
Feel is medium. Carbonation is on point, taking away any heaviness the brew tries to claim.
Overall, approachable and not bad at all.

Pours light black, with a quick, thin head. Aroma is nearly all roasted malt and perhaps I can convince myself there is a bit of chocolate hanging back at the end. Taste is light for a stout, perhaps the lightest stout I've had. There is a spicy, earthy note to the brew that hard to quantify. Very unusual.

9.6oz bottle BB 18 FEB 24 poured into a becher glass at fridge temp 7.5% ABV. The beer pours black with medium brown colored head and a hint of brown around the edges when held to light. The head recedes to a thin ring and leaves a good amount of lacing. The aroma is mild with dark chocolate and toasted malt. The taste is bittersweet roasted malt, slightly tangy, with ashy, earthy dark chocolate flavors and moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, yet a little watery with less than medium carbonation and a semi dry finish. Overall, good, but not great export stout.

Has all the proper notes of a stout but with a very drinkable characteristic that is unlike most Stouts I've ever had, you can tell this is brewed in a place where it's hot all year and they need something more drinkable than a heavy Russian imperial or even a thick base stout.. I really enjoyed it I don't know how to rate it as far as style because it's quite a bit different than most. Worth a try for sure.
