22oz. Picked up while in Santa Barbara after the Rose Bowl.
Super dark brown pour, thin layer of cream colored head. Recedes to a ring, sticks to the glass only momentarily.
Aroma, Toasted malt, molasses, toffee. Some nice peat and woody bourbon barrel. This aspect opens up nicely as it warms.
Taste, Toffee, fudge brownie, roast malt. Brown sugar, molasses, vanilla, bourbon.
A leather and tobacco like element is the most interesting for me. It all lingers on very nicely.
About full body, slick mouthfeel with a just shy of creamy carbonation. It is a tad warm, but not overly so especially for the size.
Very interesting blend of styles. A cigar beer for sure. Others should start dabbling in this process.
