Appearance: Poured with a white, 1 cm head - fine bubbles. It is light amber in color.

Smell: Citrus, and with a nice pine, or juniper fragrance. There is a hint of sweetness.

Taste: The pine and citrus notes come to the fore in tasting, but are backed up and nicely balanced with a sweet, slight chewiness. The aftertaste is sweet and chewy, but also bitter.

Mouth-Feel: Effervescent with good carbonation, the beer coats your tongue without weighing it down.

Overall: This is my favorite IPA to date. It is not overloaded with hop bitterness like so many I have tasted. The hops are in the forefront, but are showcased very nicely and are balanced out just enough by a cracker taste from the malt. In short - it tastes great!

On tap in a 16 oz pint glass:

A- pours a orange honey color with a 1" head that reduces to a thin white cap, decent lacing.

S- nose full of grapefruit followed by pine.

T- pine dominates followed by the grapefruit and citrus. a slight honey and malt in the background leaves a nice balanced finish. he usual west coast ipa bitterness on the aftertaste.

M- i would consider this to be medium bodied and the carbonation is just right.

O - really solid IPA. i would definitely drink more of these if more available in my area. was a treat to see it on- tap!

This poured out as a really nice looking yellowish gold color with a white foamy head on top. The retention is good with a very impressive amount of sticky lacing on the glass. Them smell of the beer is very nice, fresh hop aromas with the subtle malt aroma in there as well. The taste of the beer is excellent. Easily one of the best IPA's on the market. Lots of beautiful citrus flavors in there with a very mellow malt presents. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and very drinkable, Nicely carbonated and smooth. Overall... Awesome. This is something I'll be buying more of.

A: shiny, mild copper body, finger off-white head, sexy lacing

S: lemon peel, orange marmalade, big fresh pine, chalky floral

T: same as nose with long slow bitter oily finish

M: med body, firm oily mouth

O: YUM! Firestone just makes great beers.
Repeat buy. Hopheads and craft beer lovers
will both crave this gem.

DELICIOUS; MUST HAVE!

12oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass

A- beautifully translucent gold/orange, with a finger of white head that laces fantastically.

S- Citric. Grapefruit and orange. Certainly a biscuity malt lies underneath.

T- Hop forward from the word go, and not just hop flavor, pronounced bitterness is there as well. Hop flavor is largely orange, with a hint of pink grapefruit. Bitterness is very much on the sides of the tongue. Malt is not overdone, which is very appreciated. Bitterness lingers well after the sip.

M- Medium bodied, more carbonation that is visible. Quite dry on the finish.

O- Very nicely done. Not my favorite, but I can certainly appreciate the West Coast roots, and the care which was taken to craft it.
