Pours and golden honey brown with about a half inch head.

Smell is citrus, piney and slightly grassy

Taste is excellent- very well balanced- nice hoppy bitter taste- I think it leans toward a APA instead of an IPA- nice bitter after taste that fades slowly

Mouth feel is solid and crisp

Overall, I wish I could get this on the east coast, might be my go to pale ale. Would definatly have again- over and over!

Poured a nice clean amber with a thick off white head. Good sticky lacing.

The smell was lightly citrusy with a touch of juniper. I like the direction, but could use a touch more dry hopping.

The taste was clean up front with just a touch of dry grainy malt flavor which is quickly overtaken by pine and lemon hop notes. has a very even bitterness to it.

The mouthfeel was a bit thick and oily.

Seems like a solid IPA, but nothing special, it seems dominated by centennial like so many other base line IPA's which makes it rather forgettable.

12 oz bottle. 1/20/12.

Appearance: Slightly hazed pale orange with a one finger thing white head. Retention is pretty good and the lacing is pretty wild.

Aroma: Grapefruit, citrus, tropical hop aromas. Dry biscuity malt.

Taste: Same goes for the flavor. Perfect level of bitterness for a solid IPA. Balanced well with the dry biscuity malt. It lingers a bit in the background which is just how I like it.

Mouthfeel: A little on the fuller side of medium. A bit thick for a regular IPA. The carbonation is moderate. The finish is long bitter and bone dry. Damn near perfect. One of the best IPA's out there.

Thanks to jtd1969 for bringing this one back from his vacation for me.

A - copper with a large, dense, foamy, white head that has great retention

S - citrus, grapefruit, floral; awesome hop aroma

T - bready, sweet, faint birthday cake, citrusy, light piny bitterness in the finish; a hint of alcohol in the finish as well

M - warm, smooth, well carbonated, medium bodied

This is a very nice, balanced, drinkable beer. The nose is great, the flavor is malty and well hopped, the alcohol is noticeable but the drinkability is impeccable. I really enjoyed this one.
