Poured 12oz bottle into snifter. 7.5% abv

Appearance- Gold in color with a slight haze to it. Frothy white head with good retention.

Smell- Instense grapefruit aroma coupled with earthy pine and a hint of pineapple on top of the citrus overload.

Taste- Some toasted malt flavors arrive to the palate first. The grapefruit is heavy as in the smell, and lasts through until a quite bitter and lasting finish takes effect.

Mouthfeel- Medium heavy with good carbonation.

Overall- I thought this beer could of used some more work on the malt aspect of the taste. With some sweeter malt mixed there would be much more balance, which would put this beer into outstanding territory. With that said it still is not bad by no means.

Look - golden color with great head and lacing.
Smell - citrus pine hope smell with a good malt backbone.
Taste - just like the smell with a great balance
Feel - crisp slightly creamy but could use a little more body but still fantastic.
Overall - fantastic ipa. It's a great normal ipa and if I could I'd get it more often.

Slightly hazy amber color with a moderate white head that lingers and produces a bit of lacing.

The aroma is citrus and a hint of pine, very nice.

The taste starts with a blast of grapefruit and pine resin followed by slightly sweet malt and tropical fruit note for a really nice balance. Finishes dry with more pine resin lingering to make you want another drink.

Light/medium bodied, very drinkable. Altogether a very nice IPA, one of the best.

Nice amber - yellow color, high opacity.
Smells like a good ipa. Nice hoppiness with some citrus.
Tastes like it smells except with less flavor than I expected.
Very watery mouth feel for an ipa.
Still, a solid brew.

a: a hazy burnt orange color with some nice amber notes. 1/2 finger white bubbly head. the head looks like the surface of the moon. so, theres that

s: super strong pineapple and grapefruit, mango, crisp malts, a hint of sugary sweetness. a very faint amount of pine. very juicy smelling

t: taste follows the nose pretty tightly. juicy pineapple, mango, sweet grapefruit. a hint of strawberry. there is some mellow bitterness that comes from a mixture of grapefruit, pine, and raw tea leafs. its quite tasty, with just the right amount of bitterness to make this refreshing, while also sweet and extremely juicy

m: its on the lighter side of medium. i thought it might have a thicker syrup-like quality, but the juiciness and carbonation keep this on the lighter side, making it extremely easy drinking

o: i like this more than i was expecting too. i really enjoy how juicy this is in aroma and taste. its bitter, but not overly bitter or off-putting. very enjoyable

12 ounce bottle poured into a tulip glass

Appearance: a nice orange like color, fairly clear, a small head that dissipated pretty quickly, looks nice, lots of tiny bubbles in the creamy off white head, lots of lacing.

Aroma: big juicy, citrus aromas, a lovely aroma, big hops, not getting any alcohol on the nose,

Taste: big bitterness up front, a lingering citrus flavor, slight alcohol burn, dry finish

Feel: medium mouthfeel, dry, lots of tiny bubbles, juicy.

Overall: this is my favorite IPA, it's easily available, fairly priced, and if it's fresh I always pick up a six pack or bomber, just a great IPA. The biggest challenge to this beer is freshness.

Shiny golden pour, just a bit hazy. Small white head reduced to a bit of froth in minutes.
Sweet citrus and caramel on the nose, peach, faint melon, bit of mango, light pine. Sweet and really fruity.
Bitter-sweet citrus up front, lots of grapefruit and citrus peel, bit of lime, pineapple juice, touch of mango, maracuja. Spicy leafiness, kiwi seeds. Not the most complex fruity hops, but really intense and strong, tailor made to cover up the caramel malts (just a bit coming through) without missing out on the flavor-enhancing sweetness (nice hint of floral honey, actually). Pine and grassy bitter steam-roller in the end.
Lots of flavorful hops in the aftertaste, a bit tropical, citrus peel, a bit of pine, with hop bitterness stuck in the throat. Medium body, rather fizzy, almost a bit burpy.
Refreshing and so very tasty. Can't imagine how this is fresh from the tap. Great IPA.

look: 4.5 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5

This is a very pretty beer, a medium orange that's too thick to see through but holds lots of brightness, and some bubbling activity that remains gently consistent. The head is a tan one that settles to be very thick and strong but creamy, lots of rocky density to it, and its settling point is a full finger and very solid. Lacing is left all the way from the very top of the glass is bubbly netting and chunks, down to just about the very bottom.
Hops are potent in this aroma, and it displays one of the nicest bouquets I recall smelling in an IPA. It's an array of citrus, both flesh and zest without as much hard pith as some brewers are putting into their hoppy efforts. Some pine hits, too, and the balance from the right amount of caramel malts works really well.
Some tangerine, pine and marmalade hit the tongue up front, going leafier in the middle and transitioning into a very strong bitterness that is nonetheless far from overbearing. Malts are properly leveled to balance. There's a sort of earthy/rindy element to the bitterness at parts, and a flash of honey with some biscuits speaks again to the malts, only adding depth while allowing the bitterness to come off strongest.
IT's creamy smooth up front with a somehow soft but strong bite of crispness that carries from front to back. The medium body holds well the entire way through, and the consistent moderate carbonation keeps the smoothness and crispness from fading.
IT's nice to see that a classic can still hold its own in a market saturated with IPAs. While so many now have set the bar higher, this one still reaches it.

Very smooth with nice citrus/pine flavor. Not overpowering with the hops or bitterness. Finishes very clean with a nice aftertaste.
