Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Moderate hand. Bottled 12.18.13.

A: Apple-juice, golden yellow with good clarity. 1.5 fingers of off-white head. Good retention. Moderate lacing.

S: Sweetness & bitterness. Grapefruit & lighter pine. Orange. Touch of pine. Bread & biscuit.

T: Bittersweet, vaguely fruity initially with development of a moderate American hop bitterness. Dry finish. Lingering essence of grapefruit pulp. Light alcohol presence. Malt backbone is present throughout.

M: Low to moderate carbonation with moderate body. Palate coating with slightly syrupy texture.

O: Smooth brew with hops and malt on fairly equal footing for an American IPA. Solid drinker for the first of the day!

Prost!

This was a pretty good IPA. It was certainly refreshing because I hadnt had any beer in a while.

Appearance- dark gold, good lacing

Smell- hoppy

Taste- hops, bitter aftertaste

Mouthfeel- medium bodied

Drinkability- pretty drinkable, had it at Firestone Grill in San Luis Obispo

Poured into a snifter. Label says Bottled On: 10/04/12

A- Pours a clean light amber color with a 3/4 inch white head that retains well showing good foam formation before slipping down to a 1/4 inch head and sudsy, sticky lacing following behind.

S- Grassy, citric hops with a small malt background and a quick whiff of alcohol.

T- Bitter and bright hop flavor that's balanced out by the malt but it's the hops that are the main component. Sharp twangs of hop bitterness in the front and lingering in the back. Not too complex, but enjoyable. Alcohol is subdued allowing for a smooth drink. Notes of grapefruit and lemon zest.

M- Very tight but moist. Medium carbonation and a body that's a bit on the lighter side of things for the style.

O- Solid across the board. Nothing to get super fired up about but it's definitely well-done.
