A: reddish brown, clear, minimal head
S: malty, not as sweet or as big as the taste (but it was cold at the time, prob needed to open up)
T: oh, yum. i tasted vanilla, almonds, brown sugar, and above all, roasted toffee flavors. all i could think about was DESSERT
M: spicy, warm
D: i could tell it was (is) high in alcohol, but still extremely pleasant

had this on tap at my work... my friend/coworker and i don't usually love the sweeter, darker, sugary-roasted-dessert-ey beers, but this beer instantly won our hearts, goshdarnit. we had the brilliant idea that 'saucer' was destined to be a beer float. we plopped a scoop of vanilla ice cream in our glass, and WOW. yes, you should ridicule us for this. and yes, it was phenomenal.

Had on tap at the Firestone Night of the Ales. Pours a deep orange with a good inch of head that lasts to the bottom of the glass. Smells of raisins, figs, and has a good earthy quality. Tastes similar with fruity undertones and good carbonation. Could easily drink a pitcher of this but the distribution was limited. Overall a great beer but I do not think I will get a chance to try again due to limited availability.

Volunteered at the AHA conference in San Diego and this was being poured at Paxtons session. It was the first beer and it was amazing. It was served at around 9am on Friday morning and it would go really well with some pancakes or french toast. The appearance was darker and the smell had a lot malt to it. The taste blew me away. Very good mouth feel. Would definitely like to have this again with some food.

On tap at Barrelworks in Buelton. Pours a dirty brown with pretty much no head. Looks thick as it pours. Bourbon, vanilla, sweet toffee or caramel (or something like that) and a flower garden of wonderful spices and scents on the nose...just fantastic! Taste goes on from there adding maple and dark fruits. Mouthfeel was just right, with all the flavors dancing over the tongue. Overall it's the best Quad I've ever had, I can't imagine what could make it better...Just wish there might some day be more...
