22oz bottle split with madvermin in May 2011; thanks for splitting this one with me. Updated ratings in March 2012 after a bottle of §ucaba.
A: Clear but dark reddish brown, lots of bubbles flowing up throughout and a decent light tan head which hangs around for a while. (originally 4.5)
S: Quite enjoyable; very sweet with light citrus flavors, red cherries, floral notes, and a smell that's very similar to honey all complement a heavy caramel and toffee backbone here. (originally 3.5, seemed stronger this time)
T: Very sweet to start things off, huge caramel and toffee presence here. Floral and citrus hops bolster the flavors of the sweet malts, but their bitter tones provide a nice balance. Long, lingering, caramel and hoppy finish. Light ethanol flavor just shows up on the finish, but its spiciness complements rather than detracts from the taste. (originally 4.0)
M: Medium-bodied with light-moderate carbonation and a very sticky finish, especially considering the medium body.
O: A good beer, really enjoyed it on the second run and I'm looking forward to my next chance to have it. Very solid, get this one if you can (easier now with expanded production). (originally 4.0)
