A: Poured really dark, with dark mahogany tones visible on the edges of the beer. Head is coffee coloured and short-lived.
S: Pure bourbon, but without the aggressive alcohol that usually accompanies bourbon. The smell is very very complex. Elements include dark fruits, cherries, cocoa butter (hinting at the beer's richness) and liquorice.
T: Wow. This is right up there with the greats. A simple sip takes you through a world of velvety smooth flavours (creamy sweet chocolate with a hint of sweet cherries), right down to a refined bitterness of cocoa and dark fruits. All of this concludes with a dry finish that doesn't overstay its welcome and leaves you wanting for more.
M: Velvety smooth carbonation, and together with a heavy, full body, this beer caresses the tongue in a way few drinks are able to.
O: A perfectly matched beer. The appearance matches the taste and smell perfectly. The mouthfeel and taste are so intermingled that it is hard to tell them apart. A majestic beer.
