2012 bottle poured into an oversized snifter.
A - Pours very, very dark brown. Little head quickly diminishes to a ring. The ring sticks around, no lacing to speak of. Good look for a big stout.
S - This baby really knocks you out on the nose. The bourbon and roasted malts are clearly present, but the nose is far more complex underneath. Oak and vanilla as expected, along tobacco, leather, and a slight hoppy note. This is one of the best smelling beers I've ever had. Really remarkable.
T - Also kills it. Nice bourbon presence which greatly complements the vanilla, cocoa, and roatiness. This beer tastes full of dark, roasted malts, and you get the slightest hoppy note on the palate that comes through in the nose. This is just a pleasure to drink.
M - Perfect. Smooth, creamy, barely a hint of alcohol present anywhere. Coating and not cloying, the flavor on this lasts forever, and what lingers is very delicious.
O - This is one of the very best bourbon barrel-aged stouts out there, if not the best. Truly a treat to drink. Buy many of these so you have plenty to drink now, and some to drink later.

This is my very first review, so I am very excited to start off with the infamous, highly rated BA stout in the planet! Firestone Walker Parabola! My only few BA stouts that i've had, so I cant make this a perfect score becuz there is so much beers and I have so much catching up to do.(Late bloomer drinker). Let's begin.
A- Stouts are usually dark, so I cant think of any beer styles that could be darker.
S- Licorice, sweet, caramel, oakiness from the barrels, faint alcohol but very faint from the well balanced aromas
T- Rich chocolate and vanilla. I'm ready to add milk and sugar to make this an outstanding beer a true dessert. Its a beer you just have to try.
Overall, its an excellent BA stout. Still looking for that perfect beer for my own taste buds, but this beer is in my top 5.. Cheers!
