On tap at Jose Pistola's in Philly (6/25/12). Poured into a shaker pint.
Pour: Black, with dark brown around the rims of the glass. Light brown fluffy head.
Smell: Bitter chocolate and thats about it.
Tast: Chocolate roastiness followed by some vanilla and then taken over again by dark bitter chocolate. Rich espresso bitterness hangs around.
Mouthfeel: Very creamy, very drinkable.
Overall: Tasty, but velvet merkin wins.
Serving type: on-tap

Pours a nice dark brown with a short head that quickly dissipates. Smells nice like oatmeal and very fresh. Taste is suprisingly clean and fresh without any heaviness. Nice and crisp and clean for such a dark beer. Nice carbonation and not syrupy like other darker beers. I really enjoyed this one.
