A - Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. The beer is crystal clear and a beautiful golden copper color. There is very little head, and light visible carbonation may only play a small role in maintaining a skim like cover of head. This beer doesn't like to leave lacing on the glass.
S - As soon as I popped the cap the scent of fresh hops filled my nose. While DIPAs have fallen back to earth a bit among my reviews, I am still a complete sucker for their aroma.
T - Not much up front, but I've always loved this beer for the way that the flavors build upon themselves. Very mild bready sweetness starts out, and is then followed by a citric grapefruit and tropical type hop profile. The bitterness builds from there on the finish with a long-lasting, but clean experience. Very mild presence of alcohol. Just enough to add to the whole.
M - Nice, full-bodied and chewy. Very little carbonation detectable, yet still drinks like a meal.
O - One of the first DIPAs I've ever tried and still one of my favorites. It's a shame that I can't find this fresh more frequently. This beer was only two weeks old and had to jump on it. Probably should have gotten more.
