General - This is out of a big boy bottle, 22 oz. that I poured into a tulip glass. This is a beer that I've had several times before but I've never actually went and developed a full blown review.
Appearance - This is a very clear beer, you could almost read a book through this beer it is so flawless. Color is a light copper and the head is a very light tan. The head pours very well but doesn't hold for too long. It poured out thick at first but quickly dissipated.
Aroma - Pine forest anyone? This has a great aroma that reminds me of hiking in Washington state. There is also a nice hit of citrus, I almost think that it smells like tangerines with a slight sweetness! Very little malt aroma with this, just a lot of pine and citrus.
Taste - Wow this is an awesome DIPA, second only to Pliny in my opinion. Great pine taste and a nice citrus blast. Really bitter on the tail end from the high IBUs. There is also a big alcohol burn near the end of this from the 9.5% ABV. I'm going to say that one more time.... 9.5% ABV, crazy.
Mouthfeel - Really nice, moderately thin. Carbonation is pretty high and like I said before there was a big alcohol burn with it that is expected with the high ABV.
Overall - Great DIPA that's for sure. This is one of my favorite beers that I've had, probably in my top 5. If you ever get the chance to enjoy this, don't hesitate to pick it up. Such a good DIPA.
