12 oz bottle poured into DFH IPA glass, 1 month fresh.
Pours a golden, light amber clear body with a soapy head of good retention and lacing. Stunning color on the body.
Smell is of tropical fruits, orange peel, alcohol esters, sweet candied malts, and pine resin.
Taste is similar to the nose - a big beer with a lot of malty sweetness and noticeable alcohol. Fruity hop flavor and moderate bitterness attempt to balance the beer but come up a little short. Lingering sweetness and a little bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, great carbonation, smooth, sticky, dry finish.
Overall a very solid DIPA which is year-round and available in 4 packs, great choice if you like sweetness without over-the-top IBU. Very easy drinking and warming. Not my favorite, but I've enjoyed it multiple times and will continue to enjoy.
