Appearance-Pours a golden tangerine yellow into the glass, an inch or so of fluffy white foam crowns the tulip and ever so slowly bubbles away leaving dollops of lacing as it does. Beautiful.
Aroma-Tangerine, lemons, grapefruit and other citric aromas are the first to assail the nostrils, notes of honey and sweet crystal malts towards the back. Citrus lasts all the way through.
Taste-Citrus fruits upfront cut abruptly by sticky pine sap bitteress then joined by a honeylike sweetness making the citric character seem almost 'tangy'. Finishes bitter and hoppy, as it should.
Mouthfeel-Full and lush, a little syrupy but not detrimentively so.
Overall-A great DIPA, up there with the other greats like Ruination and Pliny.
