A- Pours a nice orange color, nice head that sticks around. Good looking beer.
S- Mmmm, nice nose on this one. Tangerine, peach, orange and a slight floral smell. The tangerine aroma really sticks out to me.
T- Tastes very similar to the nose actually. Fairly malty for an IPA and a bit on the sweet side, with a slight tinge of bitterness and alcohol on the finish.
M- Moderate carbonation and body. Kind of a slick/oily feel to it.
D - Good, but not great. It's a little bit sweet for me..granted, this is 9.5%, ABV but still not the most drinkable DIPA I've had. Certainly better than most though.
I'm a little torn on this one...It didn't quite live up to my expectations, but I do like it. Maltier IPA's are not my preference. I'm liking it more as it warms up though. Seems to get more of the tropical fruit notes that I detected in the nose as it warms. At $8 for a bomber, I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to get this.
