Bottle, poured into a Bolton Wanderers British pint glass.
Appearance: Bright orange/amber, and is almost too translucent for it’s own good. The lack of any sort of cloudiness makes me a bit uneasy.
Smell: The smell is not too potent. Light citrus, with some piney and earthy undertones. It smells much like a freshly mowed lawn.
Taste: Piney and creamy up front, with the bitterness bringing up the rear.
Mouth feel: The feel reminds of a warm bisque style soup, except with alcohol. It’s warming up front, and goes down easy.
Overall: As far as Double IPAs go, it’s quite good. The taste leaves something to be desired, as I would have liked a bit more citrus notes, and the water-like clarity leaves me rather befuddled. It looks too perfect. Aside from that, I think it is a solid beer.
