Intro: 22 oz. bottle. Served in a tulip glass. Shared with a friend.
Appearance: Medium copper color with an off-white abundant head that is 2 fingers thick, with a creamy texture. Lacing is acceptable and persistent. Clarity is clear.
Smell: Usual array of hops and citrus smell. It has a malty background which is refreshing. Smells very balanced and appealing.
Taste: Great taste. One of the best features of this beer. It’s smooth, balanced, but yet hoppy. It’s a very inviting taste that makes you come back for more.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and clean. Doesn’t seem to have that hop oil resiny mouthfeel that’s normally associated with DIPA’s. Overall, a very balanced profile that leaves the mouth clean.
Overall: Very enjoyable brew. I have to travel to get this but I make a point to always have plenty on hand. This is one of my top 5 DIPA’s. If you can find it, it’s worth the effort.
