Received this as a generous extra from hopburster, thanks Gregg! Poured into a pint glass:
A - Pours a nice light golden, hay and slight amber color with a mean cloudy head. While the head dies a lot of foam clings to the sides. Great lacing retention.
S - Caramelized malts and bready yeast. Clean pineapple, bits of grapefruit and pine. Little bit of lemon zest.
T - Bright grapefruit and orange peel. Bit of a malty back bone but pretty sweet and fruity. Bit of a drying pine flavor to follow up.
M - Pretty carbonated, smooth and creamy. Bit of a bitter, drying effect in the end.
O - Not a bad DIPA. It looks great, but the smell is a little off and perhaps a little bit stale. Its easy to drink for a 9.5% brew. Not too bad...
