Pours clean golden with a finger of white pillowy head. Big bubbles.

Smell is very piney, strong bitter. Pretty distinct.

Taste is bitter, but not super overpowering. Pine and floral hoppieness. Waxy finish. Crisp and drinkable.

Not a bad IPA at all for the price.

look: 4.25 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

Poured from a bomber into my RR tulip glass.

Appearance: Copper-orange. Nice finger head gives to about 1/8 inch head that is retained for a while. Nice lacing after.

Smell: Sweet hops. Citrusy and tropical notes.

Taste: Pineapple and oranges. Sweet malt action in the middle. Slight alcohol burn on the back end ties it all together.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Despite the alcohol prevalence it's very drinkable.

Overall: Great take on the West Coast style. Drinks crisp and clean. Even better when it warms.

look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3 | overall: 3.5

Poured from a bomber with a 5/2013 bottle date(cant tell if 02 or 20th).

A: Beautiful golden color, nice, creamy appearing, off white head.

S: Nice citrusy/piney hop aroma, faint hint of malty goodness. Do I detect some sweetness?

T: VERY balanced. Nice hop bite right off the bat, then the malt rushes in; well done FW.

MF: Bit thin IMO. It dies on the palate the minute you finish the drink.

O: I like it but I want to like it more. This may be me but, IMO, a Double IPA should be very hoppy and very malty. This is hoppy on the nose but both the hops and the malt die way too quickly. It's well put together, and I'd buy and drink again, but it's not quite up to snuff.
