1 PINT 6 FL OZ bottle
Served in a tulip glass

A - This beer pours beautifully into my glass. It is amber and crystal clear. It is topped with a generous helping of off-white head.

S - It smell some citrus. Then the pine rushes in.

T - The taste is a blend of malt and resinous pine. I get some malt to start out with, and it finishes with a strong pine taste.

M - Smooth as Billy Dee Williams

O - This is a prime example of a west coast hop monster. It is loaded with piney hops, and if it wasn't a couple months old I'm guessing I wouldn't be tasting any malt.

12 oz. bottle with no date

A - Golden straw bronze with a thick white head

S- Super complex! I'm getting hints of sweet malt, pineapple, grapefruit tart, clementine rind, white grape, and a hibiscus floral scent.

T - This beer come rushing at your taste buds! Malt with a slight alcohol burn gets blown away by a sudden rush of floral hops. Getting orange, citrus, piney hoppy joy! This is a literal hop bomb but the malt backbone holds it on it's own to balance it out as it lingers!

M - Resiny mouth feel to this one but yet still crisp and dry on the finish. The hops wreck your palate though and dance on your tongue for a while after every sip.

O - Oh heck of a double IPA! Great malt and hop contrast will definitely please any hop head! Not the most balanced Double IPA but the hop line up on this one is really well done and leads to a fantastic beer! Also dangerously drinkable for 9.5% found myself blowing through this one before i knew it! Great offering from Firestone Walker!

A - Transparent gold with a 1/2 inch somewhat-creamy head

S - Sweet and tart fruits

T - Meets the smell. Absolutely delicious. Natural fructose and amazing hoppiness.

M - Everything you expect from the appearance and smell. A SMIDGE boozy in immediate swallow, but that dissipates quickly because a floral aftertaste takes over.

O - This is the first beer that I've written a review for in a long time (I wanted to let my palate develop a little further before reviewing again). This is also the first IPA that I've fallen in love with. This should not be anything new as this is an extremely highly rated (and popular) brew. FW IPAs seem to be the only IPAs that 'wow' me.

A - Light red. I could care less about appearance, so unless it's really beautiful or really ugly, it will get the average of the other ratings. Who drinks a beer for appearance anyway?

S - Citrus, pine, and some spice, malt as well

T - Good malty flavor. Heavier than most West Coast IPAs, but lighter than Dogfish Head 90. Good hop flavor as well, the hops probably cut through a little bit more than Dogfish Head 90.

M - Solid malty body, not as light as most West Coast IPAs, but lighter than Dogfish Head 90.

O - A great DIPA. Even though they are out of CA, I would consider this more of an East Coast style IPA.

Thanks No1Smitty - First FW Beer!

A - Pours a remarkably clear light copper color with a great 2 finger slightly tan head, retention is very strong, lacing is phenomenal.

S - Tons of tropical citrusy goodness, pineapple, mango, lemon, grapefruit, resinous, minimal caramel sweetness.

T - Tons of tropical goodness with some minimal alcohol flavor and some caramel sweetness. Not very bitter with all the malts/sweet fruit flavors. Tastes as it smells as far as the tropical fruits go.

M - Medium bodied, definitely has some nice (slight) thickness to it. Semi-weak carbonation, it works well with the beer.

O - Very tasty, nice, thicker, maltier *feeling* dipa (sweet malts are minimal) really nice slightly bitter, big tropical flavor
