A: Light colored orange with a pale yellowish hue. Thick, dense sticky white head with excellent lacey legs.

S: Potent dank, citrus, heavy pineapple hops. Clean sweet malts. Hint of soapy yeast cake.

T/M: Wow! Tropical all the way. Lingers of Tropical Fruit Punch juice. Fresh hop taste, piney taste singes the roof of my mouth. Mouthfeel

O:Dominant yeast, mild malts combine to subdue the intense hops. Reminds me of Souther Tier 2xIPA but more pronounced.

Had it alot in the last few months, just getting around to reviewing it.

Poured from a 22 oz. bomber into a Stone Nonic Pint Glass...

A-Cloudy, Hazy, Delightful with great head and nice lacing

S-Agree with all those who comment on the tropical nose, pineapple, mango, etc, but also a total hop bomb

T-This might be my favorite DIPA, masks the alcohol WAY better than Deviant Dale's, frighteningly drinkable

M-Borders on perfection

O-Awesome, get it now if you can

Pint bottle. Colour is medium light gold, with good film and lace, head initially is large, recedes over a minute or two. 4

N- smoked pine needles, astringent hops, lemon, balanced, fresh, evocative. 4.5

T- slightly sweet brown sugar, medicinal hops, malt supporting well. Hops are prominent but much more balanced than others. Great complexity and flavour. 4.5

M- big body. Hops are mouth coating. Alcohol is perceived but largely balanced. Carbonation is moderate, slightly crisp and refreshing, pleasant. 4

More balanced hop character than others, good smooth body, pleasant sipper. This is definitely one of the best DIPAs I have tried, I will be looking for it again in the future. I prefer it over Ruination and Dogfish for great complex profile and drinkability.

Bottled on 10/3/12 4 weeks old. Nice.

A: Super Clear, Bright, Light Copper, Orange. Mid sized white head. A nice white hat stays throughout the beer, leaves good chunks of lacing.

S: Super Fresh Hops! Bright tropical fruit, mango, papaya, pineapple, some pine and grapefruit. One of the brightest and pungent brews I can remember.

T: Citrus blast, tangerine, clementines, pineapple, lemons, pine cones, honey/caramel and raisin malt backbone peaks briefly than a bitter blast. Finish is pine cones, grapefruit rind, floral.

M: Quite a Dry finish, high carbonation, quite oily/slick moutfeel, heavy body. A bit of a palate wrecker.

O: A total hop fix, one of the most tropical tasting brews I've had. The nose is just awesome. Really pretty looking beer too. A tad more balance and itd be perfect for me. This is a quintessential west coast IPA, probably the most tropical hop beer I've had. Must try.

Poured into a pint glass. Reviewed alongside Breckenridge 471 IPA.

A: Clear light amber with two-finger, fizzy, creamy, white head that lasted a while and left a nice film. Good lacing.

S: Tropical, citrus, pineapple, grapefruit. Very nice.

T: Light sweetness and strong hop bitterness. Sweet caramel malt and then citrus hops. Very pleasant toasted malt finish.

M: Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Crisp and slightly warm.

O: This beer smells wonderful and the taste is complex, ending in a very nice toasted malt flavor. I liked the smell and taste of this beer better than the Breckenridge 471, but this beer didn't look or feel quite as good at that one. Overall, I'd say it's a tie between the two.
