A-Typical deep orange/dark honey DIPA look. Wow this sandy 4-finger head seems to never die! One of the best billowy heads I've seen in any beer.

S-Citrus. Hops. Bubbling sugar.

T-Bitter fat hops crash like asteroids on the surface of tongue. Exploding bursts of citrus wash over. Sweet-breads such as fruitcake and cinnamon raisin. Orange bitters. Grapefruit. Honey.

M-Medium body. Nice thickness. Gel like in texture on the finish.

O-The taste wins. The flavor and overall smoothness make Double Jack a top shelf DIPA. Flavor shape-shifts a bit even as it warms, retaining the character but inviting your palate to discern new and previously unknown taste traits. 9.5% ABV is barely perceptible. Sneaks up on you nicely. Try to keep a bomber in the home at all times. Go Firestone!

From a 750ml bottle into a tulip.

A: Nice golden amber, with no haze, and an airy white head.

S: Citrus with some floral undertones and a little pine.

T: Hoppy, with some more hops. Afterwards lending to some malt backing with a slight carmel hint.

M: Medium, not as heavy or oily as expected from a strong hoppy beer.

O: A great DIPA, not my favorite but in my top 10. If you enjoy hoppy beers this one is worth trying. I will get it again.

From a 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass

A: poured pale tengerine line hue color, 3 mm thick head that laced out to a thready island.

S: Citrus and pine resin and floral scents are present. I LOVE me a floral beer.

T: Hops and more hops. A bitter attach on the forefront followed b, followed by a lingering malt aftermath.

M:feels both bold and heavy on the palette

O:. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It consistentently leaves a big smile on my face

Amber color with a one finger head with short retention.
Nice aroma of pine, honey, vanilla and grapefruit.
Sweet flavor of toasted malts with strong notes of grapefruit citrusy, tangerines, pine, orange peel and resin. Also lots of honey and apricot, some mango and grass. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Full body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 9.5% is well hidden.
I preferred their superb IPA, DIPAs tend to be too sweet, and Double Jack is no exception. Nevertheless, this is a great citric DIPA, very deep and complex.
