On tap at Blind Tiger.

Good appearance, decent head retention. Piney, fresh hop aroma and smells malty too. Gets more pungent as it warms. Taste is good but not great: lots of piney hops, some malt too but it clearly leans towards the West Coast style. I prefer my IPAs juicy, though, and Double Jack doesn't do that for me. Above average, not great.

650ml bomber. Poured into a Dogfish snifter. No freshness date but I suspect this bottle has been sitting around for awhile.

Appearance: Pour a glowing orange/copper color with a one finger creamy white head. Retention is long and leaves long legs all over. Beautiful.

Aroma: Piney and resiny hops. Also lots of grapefruit hops. And some caramel malty sweetness in the background.

Taste: Slight pine up front. I'm getting mostly grapefruit-y and tropical hops. Sweeter caramel malt backbone is a bit bold. But again, I think this could be due to this beer sitting awhile. Little bit of heat as it warms

Mouthfeel: Thick, fuller side of side of medium. Low carbonation. Bitter finish. Pretty much all is expected for the style.

A: Pours a nice transparent orange color, a two finger frothy off white head at the top that leaves a great lacing around the glass as you drink.

S: Smells great, citrus and tropical fruit throughout, lots of pineapple, slight hints of booze

T: Great taste, follows the nose exactly, some bitterness from the hops, but a perfect amount, the malts are well balanced with everything else as well.

M: Medium to full bodied, perfect amount of carbonation

O: A fantastic beer, I thoroughly enjoyed this brew, well balanced IPA.

A- Pours a slightly hazy, brilliant gold color. Two finger head that retains and laces tremendously.

S- Tons of pine notes. Hints of sweetness intermingle, maybe slight honey scents.

T- Very similar to the scent, but more complex. Bitter hops up front provide a pine and floral start. Very solid malt backbone comes through and provides a good balance. There is a definite hint of sweetness in the middle before a strong, hoppy, very bitter finish.

M- Very carbonated, but still surprisingly syrupy. Thick, but also somewhat light on the palate. Malt holds the bold hop profile very well. Hides the 9.5% ABV very well, and this one will sneak up on you very easily. Somewhat of a palate destroyer. Don't let this one hit your whole tongue every sip, or your taste buds will hate you for it.

Overall, another strong offering from FW, and a great way to celebrate International IPA Day!

Appearance: Amber color with a medium-sized white head that gradually faded.

Smell: Primarily Pine aromas.

Taste:The pine aromas carry over to the taste. The malts make themselves known as a slight sweetness. The alcohol is well hidden. Very crisp and clean after-taste.

Mouth-feel: Medium body with a medium level of carbonation.

Overall: A good beer in my opinion.
