Bottled 12/26/13 so a month old isn't too bad. The price could be better I snagged a single for 5 bucks at the House of 1,00 beers. BTW it was the 12oz bottle so I did not get a good deal!

(A ) Very lively with a ton of carbonation bubbles holding the 1/2 inch of head in place. As expected the lacing is thick and hugs the glass nicely. Curious of the color since most IPA's have a brown tint this one is more of a bright clear Orange yellow color.
(S) Every sniff is different with floral and citrus hops in the bottle and in the glass I can smell the pear like sweet hops and some alcohol but as it sits the alcohol smell takes a backseat.
(T) Well for a month old it's still sweet like taking a bite out of a Honeydew Melon filled with bittering hops. The hops are perfectly balanced with the sugar/gram crack malts giving no lingering bitter finish yet still pungent enough to block any alcohol flavors on the tongue. Just like the regular Jack the taste is clean.
(M) Medium to heavy in body I couldn't imagine having a few back to back. Would end up like the Hopslam growler that one time. Warms the empty belly of mine!

Overall outstanding yet kind of heavy to session. A league of it's own in the IPA game!

My doublejack has a golden amber color, is slightly hazy with some gentile carbonation.
I started pouring softly and when I noticed a head wasn't forming so I poured more aggressivly and was rewarded with a fine tall head, beige and sticky. The head retention was moderate and the head faded rather quickly leaving spotty lacing in it's wake.
I.m having difficults picking up any onre particular hop scent. To me it smells fresh and hoppy with perhaps some tangerine but I think it's suggestive from reading reviews. If anything, I would say floral and piney. Sweet malts are balanced too. A deep wiff and i can smell the alcohol.

Taste was bullied with a big hop bitterness. Sweet caramel malts make the base with a touch of bready graininess as well. Hops are taste, bold, oily and in your face but seem to lack flavor.
Drinks smooth and thick with a tongue slapping bitterness that lingers well after.
I like this beer it was good. The ABV caught up to me quickly. This beer was only a month old when openned and I thought it would be more flavorfull.

December Bottle poured into a snifter.

A: Pours a golden color with 2 finger head. Tons of lacing on the glass.

S: Dank, citrus, and some tropical sweet fruit notes.

T: Citrus, grape fruit, pine resine and HOPS.

M: Medium bodied, sticky dry finish. Hops really drying out the mouth.

O: Fantastic west coast style IPA with a malty back bone. Must try for DIPA fans.
