Pint from the FW brewery@Paso Robles. Reviewed from notes.
Clear orange amber with a modest white head that laces nicely.
Bright and clean citrus, particularly orange, with some pineapple emerging late.
More tropical, with plenty of passionfruit and pineapple. Modest but very clean tea-ish, resinous bitterness asserts but doesn't linger, which seems appropriate for a DPA as opposed to an IPA. Light caramel malt holds things together well.
Medium bodied with just a slight chewiness from the hop oils. Very nice.
The reduced bitterness lends this a great drinkability. The hop profile reminded me very much of Little Creatures Big Dipper, however coming straight from the source this was, not surprisingly, tastier.

Pours a wonderful apricot color with light fizziness and a respectable head. Head sticks around for the whole bottle. Smell is solid. Very floral and full of subdued citrus and pine notes. Nose is definitely the strength of this brew. Taste is well balanced. Mouthfeel leaves none to be desired. Overall actually a great beer. Hard to believe it packs a 9.5% hit.

22 oz bottle, 9.5% abv. Clear golden, straw color. White fluffy head looks nice and holds well for a while, eventually leaving some nice lace.
juicy hop aroma, with layers of citrus and pine. Malt character is clean, but stands its ground well.
A bit of sweetness up front, but nothing overwhelming. Bitterness shines through with ample amounts of pine and citrus. Malt character gives a sugar coated hop feel. Very nice.
Medium body with some fine carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden, much easier to drink than expected. Very nice beer.

appearance: Clear golden. Impressive head for a dipa, full white and nice, messy lacing.
smell: Piney citrus hops up front. Some malt trying to balance them hops.
taste: Nicely done. Again bitter hops up front but the bready malt does a nice job smoothing out the finish with a lingering slight bitterness.
overall: FW not sold in Ga but picked up a bottle on a business trip. Been wanting to try this and was not disappointed.

A- clear amber with thick white head that dissapates into a thin coating on top of the beer.
S- big citrus aroma slight pine. lots of tropical fruits. Smells absolutely amazing!
T- more pine on the taste than the smell. Still lots of tropical fruits and a slight bready flavor. Very nice.
M- medium light body with good amount of carbonation for the style.
O- this is a great example of a double IPA. I want more of this! im kind of sad I shared half the bottle with my wife! :-)

A: Very clear, very golden beer with a small amount of white head.
S: This has a GREAT smell. Smells like a beer I am going to love! A strong citrus hop smell with the smell of oranges and grapefruit. I love smelling hops just naturally and this beer smells like pure hops and I love it!
T: Tastes almost as good as it smells. I get the initial bitter citrus hoppy flavor followed by a sweeter malt taste at the initial finish of the beer. It has a VERY bitter finish that lingers in my throat and tongue for a good 2 minutes.
M: Good mouthfeel. LIght to medium thickness and medium carbonated.
O: overall, wonderful beer! Perfect blend of maltiness and hoppy as well as a great finish leaving me wanting more!
