Experienced on tap at Yard House Scottsdale on Tatum Road. A bit of aroma. Average looking body for the style, cloudy with some head it tasted a little wateed down. The taste brought out too much sourness and was not too drinkable.Disapointing considering whom brewed it.

On tap at the Newport Breach Yard House location in August 2009. Reviewed from notes.

Pours a somewhat cloudy yellow color with some haze. The nose brings some banana and bubblegum with a bit of clove. A bit of wheat in the background. The flavors are a bit muted compared with the nose. I didn't detect any of the wheat sourness that other reviewers have commented on. The body is fairly light with some good carbonation. The best of the four Yard House beers that I had, this was pretty tasty overall.

Served on-tap at Yardhouse in Vegas into a pint glass. Decent pour, with thick, dense head. Unfiltered, and an opaque pale gold color. Smell was heavy on spices, which seemed to be coriander. The flavor was just as heavy on the spice, combined with a light citrus undertone. The spices in the flavor seemed like coriander and nutmeg. Very full-bodied for a Hef, which was a pleasant surprise. Easy to drink, but not overly outstanding in any one area.

Reviewed on draught at the Los Angeles location into a 25cl generic glass. Reviewed from notes.

A: Pours a one finger head of slight cream, fair thickness, and bad retention. Colour is a hazy copper.

Sm: Generic orange and lemon, clove, and barley. Mild in strength.

T: Orange, lemon, cloves, and slight honey over a simple barley foundation. Pleasant but simple. Decently balanced. Far from bold or inspired.

Mf: Smooth and wet. Predictable but necessary, I suppose. Fairly complementary of the flavours of the body.

Dr: Drinkable but boring and tired. Let's try something new, eh? Expensive at 3.75 USD per 250ml. I won't have it again. Move along, lads - no good beer here.

Just had at the new Va Beach location - judging by past reviews I can only surmise (as I have had many hefes in my lifetime) that Firestone picked up their game or the VA Beach location is getting special treatment for now as it just opened less than four months ago.
Received in a pint glass (not the beer's fault they don't have weizen glasses) a cloudy gold with fizzy head on top of a somewhat lemony citric aroma but very muted w/ little spice poking out. Beer was smooth, drank easy, had a decent amount of a citric and spicey bite to it with a touch of wheat twang for a minor bit of sweetness. Not the most flavorful or memorable hefe but a decent one.

Poured a murky ugly orangish color, beyond the normal haziness of a hefe. It was in part redeemed by the nice fluffy white head that laced the glass.

Aroma was banana and spicy, like a good german hefeweizen should be. Simple and no hops to speak of.

Flavor was initially very nice and of banana but then followed by a sourness that I assume came from the wheat. Not sure if the Germans use a different wheat but it seems that all American wheat beers and attempts at a hefeweizen are sour.

Medium body, drinkable, probably wouldnt order it again due to the sourness coupled with a crummy appearance.

Poured from tap into a pint glass at the Yard House in San Diego, Calif. Color was murky and light brown. Lots of lacing left after the pour.

Wheat and grain dominated the smell. Also banana spices, some citrus and lemon.

First tastes were orange and banana, followed by a mix of spices. Lots of flavors.

Good mouthfeel throughout, but initial taste was the best. Plenty of flavors. Mild to high carbonation.

I don’t think it was good as Firestone’s original hefe, but I’d have to taste that again. Happy to find out that Firestone is making Yard House’s house beer.
