It's a crystal clear yellowish gold, with a small hint of orange to it.

It smells amazing, a nice citrusy hop aroma to it, almost like oranges & cream and some pine.

This is, as other people have mentioned, like a miniature or junior Union Jack. It has the same, or similar hop profile, but with a light body to it; my only knock.

S - hops with a bit of floral

T - Slight sweetness up front somewhat floral very slight bitter but barely so and then a bit more prominent after a while

M - light carbonation -

O - light, tasty, could have a bit better balance between the bitter and slight sweetness maybe more complex flavor

12 oz bottle with a bottled date of 07/02/12 from the Utah system poured into my perfect pint.

Appearance: A really good looking beer. Nice effervescence up to a three finger thick white cap of rocky head. Perfectly clear light golden. Great lacing.

Smell: Pine forest hops with a little floral hop notes. The hops are stronger than any caramel malt I might pick up.

Taste: The hops and hop flavor are strong for an APA in this one. I like hops and this one does not disappoint, just one sided. Maybe a bit more malt, but then it becomes Union Jack, their IPA. Seems like Union Jack junior.

Mouthfeel: A little on the lighter side, with thorough carbonation.

Overall: An exceptional(ly) hoppy APA. I enjoyed it, but maybe a bit overdone.

A: Golden in colour, frothy finger thick white head, decent head retention, nice lacing.

S: Intense hop aromas, pine-like aromas, but some citrusy aswell, little malty sweetness in the background.

T: Similar to the smell dominating hops on a nice malt base. Different hop notes, gives a hint on the smell of raw hops. Decent bitterness, nice sweet fruit staying on the tongue with a not only bitter but very tasty hop flavour.

M: The carbonation creates a some sort of creamy mouthfeel, very nice level of carbonation!

O: This Ale is a great thing, impressive hop flavours, the spotlight is on the hops, the dry hopping gives it a flavour that is not present with traditional hop use. Great stuff!

Brewed on 6/20.

A: Pours a transparent yellow. Excellent clarity. Two fingers off white head with moderate dissipation and moderate retention. Fairly active carbonation.

S: Prevalent, without being overwhelming hop scent. Grapefruit, pine cone, bit of soapiness. Undertone of crisp breadiness in the malt. This isn't doughy, like many malts have a tendency to lean towards. Borderline cracker like.

T: Lean, light bodied entrance with a crisp, citrus like explosion of awesome citric hops and then a complete dryness. Borderline chalky/aspirin on the finish. Very small hint of fruitiness at the end to remind me this is an ale. I doubt I could tell tasting it blind.

M: Light bodied and crisp with a long, dry finish.

O: Truly a session beer for the hop inclined. Not even 5% alcohol and an ass kicking amount of flavor and balance. Goes good with fried chicken, too!

Pours a clear, gold/amber color. 1/3 inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of citrus hops, slight pale malt, slight sweet malt, and hint of alcohol, and a hint of caramel malt. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of citrus hops, slight hop oil, sweet malt, slight pale malt, and a hint of alcohol. Overall, good appearance, decent aroma, body, blend, and feel.

Served as part of 2012 CBI Beer Tasting.

One finger off white head over clear medium amber body. Bready, biscuity malts dominate the nose with floral notes. Taste is certainly malt forward but not in a heavy way, the brown bread taste is complemented by toasted oak notes and floral hops, an interesting taste profile. Mouthfeel is medium, not overly aggressive mouthfeel, decent effervescence. A world-class session ale. Highly recommended.

Here is an excellent, crisp, tasty pale ale from FW. Golden body with nice clarity. Light hoppy smell and taste, notable carbonation to keep it interesting. It's not as bitter as one may expect from a pale ale, but for me that makes it a refreshing take on the style. It's a simple, but marvelously executed beer. A great anytime pale ale.
