12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a caramel color with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing as the beer was drank.
Smell: Caramel, bread, oak, vanilla, and a little fruitiness.
Taste: Light citrus and grassy hops with a little bitterness followed by bready toasted malts and pale malts. A little oak and vanilla in there too.
Mouthfeel: Chewy, a little smooth, light to medium bodied, and medium carbonation.
Overall: A very enjoyable pale ale. Barrel aging has rounded out and mellowed the hops, but this is pretty delicious and solid. Very traditional with other EPA's.
